Apart from South Horizon are there any other apartments with a pool that are not wildly expensive. Also is there a beach nearby that is safe for swimming?

What do you consider "not wildly expensive" and how big are you looking for? Sham Wan Towers has a pool and so does Bayshore Apartments which is not in Ap Lei Chau but is in Aberdeen on Aberdeen Main Praya. The nearest beach would be Repulse Bay which is usually safe for swimming I believe.

Hope to pay not more than about $8oo0, I don't need alot of space, but really want a pool nearby. How long would it take to get from Aberdeen to Ap Lei Chau?

Hi Gumnut, in case you're considering a flat in Aberdeen. I've a 486 sq.ft, non-furnished 2-bedrm flat with a 200 sq.ft covered roof to lease in mid-June. There is no pool but only 15mins to go to the Deep Water Bay or Repulse Bay. Also there is a public swimming pool in Wong Chuk Hang. Please contact yannieyellow at hotmail.com if you are interested.
