I'm considering having my windows re-done during the renovating of my flat. I am on 1/F and trying to guestimate cost of how much scaffold is needed.
Is it to protect people below from falling debris or for standing on whilst the fitting of windows is being done?

Ask around, but it should be pretty std cost $$/ft of scaffolding required. May also be good to think about checking the waterproofing, a/c's, etc. at the same time, since the scaffolding is up already.

So you didn't actually replace the windows, but had them resealed. I'm considering replacing the windows which I'm sure will send the price up! But good to know that the 'extras' around it for bamboo and so on isn't too extreme.
