We're looking to move into Villa Gold Finch, Sai Kung. Has anyone lived there or lives there now that can tell us what it is like?

We had a look at a couple of ground floor units that were for sale there a couple of months ago. It's quiet and there is minibus from Sai Kung servicing the area. One expat lady we met have lived there is the same house for over 10 years. We weren't to keen on jumping the curb on Ho Chung road for every passing car but that's the way almost all villages are getting these days they're allowing to many houses to be built without the proper infrastructure.

Thank you SweetSue. The minibus and security were two plus/s on our side. What we also were curious about was also things like how often the power/water goes out? Is there a really big mosquito problem up there? Are there many other expats/children/babies in the area? That sort of thing. We've not lived in Sai Kung before although know the area, so any tips would be FAB!
Thanks!

Its OK, Have had a couple of friends that lived there. But if you live in one of the back houses, then its a long walk, often up quite a few stairs from where you park your car, not great if you are carrying shopping, have a buggy etc. But the mini bus does stop up there. There is no outdoor communal space, but its easy to walk up into the hills from there. I find the mosquitos very bad up there. There are quite a few expats in the Ho Chung area.
