Can anyone help with advice on tiling a roof-top terrace - 700 sq ft on low rise Lamma village house. Approximate labour costs for putting down large floor tiles - terracotta type? I've been given a quote of just under 30,00HK$ for labour? Any advice .... pros/cons of colour and type of tiles to withstand HK weather. Friends have suggested 'decking' as an alternative - any pros and cons of decking? I am tempted to stay with tiles for easy cleaning, hosing down area etc. Really appreciate any advice adn costing. BB

Thanks for help! I think the estimated labour costs are far too high too. This is from a local guy on Lamma.
Kingswood ...... how do you treat your decking and how long does the treatment last in the real glare of the sun in summer? Have you got gaps between the boards? Where did you buy it? Also cleaning it......does it get very dusty etc underneath?
