I am coming to HK in June and am looking for a 1 bed serviced apartment in the causeway bay/happy valley/wanchai area. In the need of some advice as proving to be a little difficult. Either none available or very very expensive! Budget up to US$4000/GB£2000. Can anyone please help?

I don't think you can rent a flat with that budget, would cost you at least double for the market rate.

Have already had a load of email replies but not too many where we want. Serviced apartments seems to be the way to go for the first 6 months...less hassle. Maybe have to look down other avenues.

Hi Monty, how long will you be in Hong Kong? With a budget like yours, I can find you something close to Soho and Hollywood Road which allow you to go to all trendy area by foot. There are eatery and serviced wash & dry places all around, you don't need any body to come into your room for security reason.
