Does anyone have any experience with having an internal wall removed? Need an idea of cost?

Depends whether it's structural or non-structural.


We just combined two flats together.


The non-structural walls they sledgehammered out in day. No problemo and very cheap.


The adjoining structural wall took three months of approval planning with the buildings department prior to starting the building work. Drilling through all the steel rebar was very slow and it took over two weeks to make the opening.


Total cost for the approval work and the opening was about HK$120k.
