Authorized Persons (AP) and Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) for Alternation work

I'm thinking of building a spiral internal staircase in my flat to access my private roof.

I understand it constitutes 'alternations and additions' work (AA) according to Building Department (BA) which

will require an AP and a RSE to submit an A&A proposal to the BA for approval.

Anyone here knows any AP and RSE who have experience in this area? If yes, how much do they normally charge to

submit an A&A proposal?

Many thanks!

Thanks F355.

You mean I need to pay approx 80K + 12K for the AP and RSE and the approved drawing. That is on top of what I need to pay to the workman to do the actual building work.

I wil think about that then.

Thanks again

To F355,

One more question - in your experience, how long will it normally takes to get approval from BD on the AA proposal?

Thanks for advice
