Lease Agreement-Help

Around 6 months ago we re-signed the lease and as part of the agreement we were to get a new air-conditioner in the lounge room. However since it has been installed it has either frozen up or leaked water. Technicians from the installation company and the manufacturer have visited at least 3 times each and have not been able/willing to fix. Considering we have lived through the hottest part of the year without air-conditioning and no suitable solution could the be used to break the lease or atleast stop paying rent until we get this fixed. Look forward to any responses or suggestions. Thanks

I don't have a problem with the rent and location. I do object to having the air-cond installed and given the warranty card and told to sort it out myself if there is a problem. Given the half-baked skill levels in HK it is not surprising that it can't be fix.

Thanks for advise. I really hope it does not get to that stage. The are meant to fix/rsolve this saturday. Maybe 7th time lucky. Cheers

Thanks for everyones advise. The landlord and technician from Hitachi did come on Saturday on got to witness it leaking like a fountain. A temp measure has been applied while they organise a time to replace the whole unit and have it installed correctly. Cheers
