ORIGINAL POST

Hi,

I have a question, if the new ordinary shares are offered at 5 to every 12, and each lot of HSBC is sold at 400 shares per lot, in the future, how would I be able to sell my 166 shares that I'm currently entitled to??

Any info would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!

I attempted to sell 166 shares through my E*trade Global trading account since I reside in the U.S., but was not able to do it. I contacted E*Trade customer service, and they told me all trades have to be in lots of 400 shares. I also sent an email to HSBC Investor Relations, waiting for their reply now. Any info you have to share wil be much appreciated.

I just saw something on the hsbc website, it says something about odd lots will be sold at a price slightly lower than the current market price... ie it's possible to sell!

It was when I was logging in to my account, after I'd entered my login name.
