Big Reno-Seek Architect-Low Budget

NEVERMIND....we had someone look at the unit and they said it was not worth any investment from a tenant's point of view. Too many issues/big problems. Big $$ drainer.



We have been looking at properties for several months to reduce rent. Finally found a real diamond in the rough and seek recommendations on architects.


Low rise building, walk up.

Over 2,000 sf.

Presently uninhabitable (water damage on walls, major mildew, floor need work, dilapitated furnishings, etc).

Looking to break a few walls, add a full bath, wardrobes, and basic tidy up.


We really did not budget for this type of work, but we really like the area and see the longer-term benefits of forking out $$ for the works. Landlord can't be bothered but is compensating by dropping the rent.


Does anyone have an architect to recommend? Not looking for well-known, celebrity types, just a licensed architect who could advise on structural and layout components of the work.
