I need a tall wall around the yard and a ground floor interior & exterior renovation.
I need someone who can translate, then manage & build the differing ideas, many unverbalised as yet, of my husband & myself into a living breathing indoor/outdoor dining kitchen/family area, secured and obscured from the gaze and complaints of a nutty neighbour; for about 1/2 the budget you are thinking of right now!
We need an english speaker (preferably familiair and unoffended by the excessive use some unsavoury and uniquely Australian adjectives), who can clearly explain what needs to happen, when, how and why, then deliver it on time and on budget. The ability to work with constant questioning and cross examination would also be an asset!

looked in the directory Ed, taken the info from there, but most seem to be handymen and painters, rather than Project managers or contractors. Hence the question

I've just had my flat renovated by a firm that is headed up by a UK contractor who has been here donkey's years.
I found him great to deal with as this is the first time I've done any renovation and he came up with ideas with me, and was also very aware of staying within budget.
He uses locals to do the work, but I dealt with him which made life a lot easier, nothing lost in translation etc....
