I am from UK and would like to set up a company in Hong Kong. Maybe I will set up another company in Shanghai later. The reasons they wanna set up a company in Hong Kong is becos of the low tax rate. The procedure of setting up a Limited Company in Hong Kong is very simple and it only take 10 business days to complete. However, to set up a company (a representative office or wholly foreign owned enterprises) in China, it is more complicated as it invovles more documents and procedures and mostly it will take 1-2 months if all the documents are ready.
