are you after a solid structure or something using a frame with a canvas top? price wise a solid structure like the glass houses you sometimes see on rooftops will be similar in price to a canvas one when you take away the cost of the glass doors/windows surrounding the sides.

90% of addition fixed roof cover on roof are illegal in HK. It is because most Architects used up all the allowed building plot ratio when design a building in HK. That means no more buffer for addition of covered area. Though if you're so lucky that you premise have such plot ratio buffer remained, you still need to hire an authorized person ( building Architect) to make a submission to buildings dept. for approval before work
