wall painting

Just moved to new house, want to repaint the wall but dont know where to begin. any advice where to buy the paint and where to find some one to do the job.

I used the handyman services of Expert Travel and Relocations and it was the worst experience ever. They were to repaint our flat and I was guaranteed professional services at no hidden costs. After 3 days of painting, the painter left and our walls still looked unfinished. There were actually patches of walls that weren't even touched. Sally within the organization agreed the job was not acceptable so she brought in different painters to finish the job. Unfortunately, there was a bit of improvement but parts of the walls still looked unfinished. We also ended up having to pay extra costs to remove blinds and put them back up $400. We saw the painters take these down and put them up and it took only two seconds (just a clip and the whole blind was down). My husband and I were extremely upset, but ended up paying for the services. A few days later, we found renters for this flat, but the agent and new tenants also said the walls looked unfinished so we ended up having to hire yet another painter to repaint again at another huge cost. The second painter said at least two more coats were needed to fix the walls. Sally within in the organization was informed of this, but did not offer to help. As far as painting goes, I would not recommend this company. I also would not recommend them for anything else based on this experience. They must not be professional at all to conduct business this way.
