Should I Give Up?

***Thank you in advance for taking time to read this and consider my situation***

Dilemna - I own and run an award winning business, but it requires me to spend most of my time on the Mainland, a place I cannot get used to (despite spending most of my life in Hong Kong). The business is making OK money - more than I need to live off right now, however in the long run (as I get older) it won't be enough and there are no guarantees that revenue's will rise; though the expectation is that it will snowball within 5 years and generate more income than anyone reading this will ever need.

I have a simple HK-based business idea that I am 99% confident will make MORE money in the immediate term (I have experience in the field) and not as much in the long run, but more guaranteed. I.e, not 10s of millions, but steady growth is a realistic objective.

I am in my late 20s and have a difficult decision to make:-

1) Continue with the existing business and despite it's stresses and location, just bear with it, it pays the bills, is a "worthwhile experience" and remember that I'm better off than most people out there, including those closest to me.

2) Go for the new business which will allow me to live in the city I love, work hours that are more reasonable, and probably make more money straight away though possibly not. Happiness and stress are obviously a major thing to consider and I think Hong Kong will provide me with this (those who read that last statement in shock, bear in mind one considers HK "normal" and has spent most of his time working on the Mainland)

My thoughts are pretty scattered which is probably reflected in the above but if anyone can give me some answers (or even some "shrink" style questions!) that may help me in my decision making process.

Other dilemnas at the back of my mind is the morals of walking away from my business partner (and letting her down) as well as developing a reputation amongst my useful contacts as someone who cannot stick to a project for more than a few years (I'm never "stable").

Thanks in advance for your comments/questions.

I'm so grateful I found the business I'm in.
