renovated flat w/split level aircon now forced by mgmt to change 2 window type

hi can anyone help me with this? I renovated my flat & moved in July, was just informed by building mgmt that I need to remove my split level air cons & replace with the old ugly ancient boxy window type. can they do this to me legally ?

that would be the Deed of Mutual Covenant...check out what it stipulates that you can and can't do (you probably don't want to hear this but...you SHOULD have checked it before you did your renos)

You may wish to ask the building management about the relevant provisions in the Deed of Mutual Covenant and under what authorities you are required to remove the air conditions. However, if your compressing is sitting on an unauthorized stand, then you may be in breach of the relevant deeds and regulations and the Building Department (as well as the Management Committee on behalf of the Owners) may be in touch.
