Current state of Bel Air

Hi,

We have a one year old girl and are considering moving to Bel Air for more space.

What is the general view of this complex? The place seems so different from one building to the next even though they are all supposed to be Bel Air, no?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

It is a good for playgroup. But the transport is very hard... only bus to central, stanley...

Thanks Dingoberry.

Yes I understand transportation is less than ideal. But what about Bel Air itself? Is it noisy to live in? Is it easy to buy groceries? How about the gym for us adults? What can families do on weekends? Which building is best to live in?

Friends (a childless couple) live in Baguio Estates above Bel Air, and they love the area, and do not complain about transport - saying the buses are frequent and fast

Not noisy,

There is 1 supermarket there - Parknshop. More pricey than other parknshops. Um... yes, its easy to get groceries. But people prefer to send the maids to buy it or order online.

They have gym at the clubhouse. swimming pool. Families usually have their family day or network with neighbour.

Air quality is good there. If you are looking at buying though, be careful about the waterfront parkland in front of Bell Air. There has been some news recently that it is not zoned as parkland, so you might find it eventually gets developed for traffic to pass through it.

I find Bel Air a bit soulless, especially the shopping centre, and remote. I'm sure the flats are okay though.

I agree with this. I do know some people who live living there, especially the quiet at night, but I agree it does feel "empty" - kind of like they were waiting for people to come, who never came.
