Hello. I'm so stressed about our landlord. We have lots of problems in our house. Our landlord lives in Indonesia and he doesn't have a local management company. So we have to arrange everything ourself and landlord refuses to pay for it.
Yesterday he offered to split the bill 50/50.
Doesn't the landlord have responsibility to fix and pay for broken things?

Go late on the rent, and then threaten to move.
That will wake him up.
But do make sure that you actually pay everything owing on rent if you do move - You want to stay on "the high road"
There ought to be many Rental alternatives these days

The best starting point is to consult the lease to see what you have agreed with the landlord.
