SHOWFLAT REVIEWS - HK's newest properties

Current Showflats :: http://tinyurl.com/Go-NewProp

(I thought about have a thread like this some time ago, and this duplicate review from the Main thread may be a good one to kick it off):

Riva - the best show yet?

Hollywood does Films. London does Plays.

Hong Kong does Show flats.

... As an entertainment art form.

SHKP is especially good at putting on a good Show Flat, and I think that their new property, Riva*, may be their best yet.

If you want an especially good afternoon, or evening of entertainment, go and see a film - I recommend: Oz, The Great and Powerful, at the Grand cinema, before you visit the Riva showflat, which is only a few minutes walk away. You will walk out of a very colorful movie, straight into a showflat fantasy that might have been created by the same people. Perhaps SHKP should call their showflat: Riva, the Great and powerful.

Oh, Riva is a low density development with houses, mid-rises, and a few towers, near Kam Sheung Road. It has an Italianate theme, and prices average a little over $12,000 psf. That's rich for an area like KSR, but once you see the showflat, you will understand what SHKP thinks they will get it. And probably they will. The coming Northern extension of the West Rail to the China border, will enhance the attractiveness of the location in the future.

RIVA - for Bikers ?

===

It may not fit in with the image promoted by SHKP, but areas near Kam Sheung Roag certain have some potential to be developed to be bike friendly. And the distance from KSR-MTR to Riva is certainly very suitable for bicycling. A pity that SHKP does not pick up on that.

Here's what one travel-related website said about Biking in HK:

By bike

Hong Kong is certainly not a bike-friendly city, and cycling through the island’s crowded streets is not recommended. However, in the northwest corner of Hong Kong’s New Territories region 20km north of downtown, the area known as Yuen Long Plain has a number of attractions easily accessible by bike.

This one - GLOBAL TRADE SQUARE - sounds interesting:

Six of 25 floors, in a Grade-A commercial building in Wong Chuk Hang.

Each floor is HK$78.16mn - HK$100.79million, and 8,487-9,820 sf

This is from Henderson and the Hip Shing Hong group.

(I wonder if "ordinary people" will be able to see it.)

A little outside my price range but I like what is happening in that area. Once the MTR extension is completed, it will be much more convenient.

Right.

That's why it would be interesting to see the showflat.

You will have a better idea of what is coming to the area.
