I put an ad on asiaxpat website to rent out a property - got a reply by someone who said he is interested but currently overseas. No details asked about the apartment, emails very generic, the person strangely eager to pay a deposit. Googled up and and found out that it is a variation of the "Nigeria 419 scam" aiming at landlords or someone selling on the internet - in breif, he will "accidently" wired more than the required sum and ask for a refund, and so on.
