Company in HK, residence in Cambodia

Hello,

I would like to ask you for advice about setting up company in Hong Kong.

I want to stay in Cambodia and work remotely as software engineer (anywhere where I find interesting job, could be Singapore, Hong Kong or anything else) but I was informed that in Cambodia there is need to pay 20% or so tax for foreign incomes.

I think it's not exactly OK to pay a lot of tax and receive nothing back (as there is no real health services and so on in Cambodia, but it's nice place to live). Moreover, as far as I know, there are not many (if any) double taxation avoidance laws between Cambodia and other countries.

I was advised that opening company in Hong Kong and establishing relationship with other company through this HK company is legal way around need to pay tax in Cambodia. Could you enlighten me a little more about this topic? Is it really legal or not? Does it help with avoiding paying taxes in Cambodia without breaking law? Any other things I should know?

Thank you!
