Hi guys, I have been browsing rental listings online but haven't found anything I've really liked. I've decided to check through agents but found the ones I spoke to have not been very trustworthy. Any tips on what I can do?

Disclosure: I am an agent.

Hi ONG1P,

Agents and Agencies in Hong Kong can be extremely hit or miss. Competition is very high so a lot of agents (mistakenly) use tactics to attract customers such as providing incorrect information, and quoting incorrect prices amongst many other things which makes things very difficult for both the client and those of us that try to do fair and honest work.

I pride myself in ensuring that all of my clients (Tenants/Landlords/Buyers/Sellers) have a good experience and mainly work with referral clients that have been put in touch with me by past clients that have been satisfied with my service level. I would be happy to see if I can be of assistance or point you in the right direction.

Feel free to contact me at daniel@dsphomes.com.

How about renting Hong Kong serviced apartments? If you are having a temporary stay in Hong Kong, you might rent a serviced apartment in perhaps Causeway Bay or Tsim Sha Tsui. These guys www.dashsuites.com (DASH Suites) are experts in serviced apartments in HK, comfortable mattresses, clean bathrooms, 5-Star Services and the adorable lemon smell in the corridor:) What would be even better if you can get back to your own private relaxing room within a 5-minute walk from MTR stations and centres of districts!
