Property Legal Assistance Needed

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to seek urgent legal advice regarding a property transaction I am involved in.

I am in the process of securing a mortgage for a flat purchase on a new build, but the bank requires confirmation of a key handover date from the developers.

The completion date was supposed to be January 30th, but the developers missed that, and they are now unwilling to provide a firm completion date, yet they are requesting full payment by April 16th.

This situation puts me in a difficult position, as I cannot secure the mortgage without the completion date and cannot pay the developers without the mortgage.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone os able to provide details of a lawyer that might be able to help with this. I rather naively used the conveyancing solicitor provided by the agent/developer, and they have been less than helpful.
