Suspect title-what to do?

title can only seldom be rehabilitated. however, there is value. a suspect title simply lowers the price depending on what the issue is

There is always some value but the risk is higher. The property will always have a lower value compared to others with good title.


Good luck, and use it as a negotiation tool. I wouldn't put too much capital into it if possible (and assuming the bank will even lend to you), just in case the government re-takes possession.

Depending on the type of the defects, it may be “rehabilitated” or not. There is no value to buy a flat without a good title. You will not be able to sell it out again. You must get proper legal advice and have the title thoroughly reviewed.
