Hi,
I have got a job starting April 15 in Tai Po.
I have been told Sha Tin would be a good place to look for accom. Looking for good value - prefer to spend on travel / mortgage back home.
I would like single short term from April 13 ish to end of July. Then I travel in August. Then my wife joins me and we go longtrem from September.
Should I share first? How much ? ( I am used to living in small apartments - lived in Japan)

Hi Ricardo,
I used to live at Shatin, Cityone many years ago. The flats there are from 395 sq ft to about 800 sq ft. The rents would be in the range of HKG 4000/- to 8000/-or 9000/-. At present, rents are on the rise so it may be a tad higher.
You can try to share a flat with someone ( they normally advertise) until July. Sharing flats are common in HKG & people advertise all the time. When your wife is due to arrive, you can visit the estate agents in advance( there are many at Cityone & also at Shatin Station)& let them know what you want & the price you have to offer. Besides Cityone, there are many more housing estate in Shatin.
