Noise from construction site at Sorrento/Waterfront

Hi!

I need some help. I am looking for an apartment to rent some where on the Kowloon side. My land agent recommended Waterfront and Sorrento on the Kowloon station. As I suspected rents are down for apartments facing the rail link construction site. Can anyone living in Waterfront, Sorrento or nearby give me some information on how bad the noise is? Moving in is tempting but the trade off is high. Thanks a lot.

Things are normally cheap for a reason. Having said that, this is Hong Kong and construction noise is part and parcel of the place - like humidity. Try to accept that pile-driver; let those soundwaves cascade over you like a warm breeze.
