(here's a message from the Man of the Year):

Edward Snowden – I Already Won

Guardian Express - ‎26 minutes ago‎

(This is neither the website of, nor affiliated in any way with, Guardian News and Media.)

Edward Snowden broke a six month silence recently when he spoke to the Washington Post saying that in terms of personal satisfaction, I (Snowden) have already won.

It is good to see some people treating this message with the respect it deserves

An Alternative Christmas Message (not from the Queen)

Snowden delivers Christmas message – CNN

"PRIVACY MATTERS"

Published on Dec 25, 2013

Edward Snowden delivers an “alternative” Christmas address on Britain’s Channel 4, warning of a growing lack of privacy.

Snowden’s address aired by the UK’s Channel 4 comes as an alternative to the Queen’s traditional Christmas speech, which is shown by the country’s other leading broadcasters.

Filmed in Russia, the address is the first TV appearance of the whistleblower since his arrival in the country, where he was granted temporary asylum in August.

The message starts with Snowden appealing to each and every family, warning them that the scope of government surveillance has gone to the extent that “a child born today will grow up with no conception of privacy at all”.

The news reader discussing the Christmas message spoke about "damage to US prestige" from Snowden's words.

What Horsefeathers ! ... to come out of her mouth !

(But I suppose she just wants to keep her job.)

The elites who control America, and have stolen the people's freedoms have shot themselves in the foot. (And many people now want them to shoot themselves in their temples too, to end their reign of terror-against-the-people.)

The Pope, and pundits like Chris Hedges are onto them.

"If you are not serving the system (and the elites that it is run for), you do not have a job."

If we want a better Christmas in 2014, we need to see some progress in winning back our freedoms, including the Freedom of the Press to speak the Truth.

Thanks, Ed, for allowing that freedom, and fostering it, on AsiaXpat.
