We have moved to HK for my husbands work and for the most part we plan on me being a full time mum and doing a little charity work with an animal shelter for the coming years.
I've recently found an oportinity to work as a clothing manufacturers fitting model which is casual work and not a great number of hours per month but a good hourly rate which makes it fit nicely with my 'other job' as a mum and gives me something else to do with my week...
I know my husband gets a tax rebate for supporting me as his dependant and will not get that if I have income of my own but I'm having trouble finding exactly what the thresholds are and how much I would need to earn per month in order to offset the loss incurred from losing the tax rebate.
I would like to take this job but I think it's ridiculous to work a job, earn some money and then at the end of the day our household income ends up being LOWER due to the fact that he can't get the rebates.
Can anyone point me to a relevant website which can give me the info I need?
Thanks in advance....
