I don't know the laws here but as a 'landlord' (that souns posh) in the UK, even if you're renting out your property unfurnished you still have to supply a frige, cooker and washing machine, plus gardening equipment if the property has a garden. I think it would be good if you supplied a washing machine, I don't think it matters which one the tenant wants, they will just be happy to have one there. And talking as a mum with a big family you don't need one that does lots of things, I only ever use one programme for everything, it just needs the fastest spin speed possible.
Phillips are the best for service. Otherwise just get a secondhand one from an expat leaving ad.

I would suggest not to install a washer/dryer. Everyone I know including myself have gone out and bought a dryer as the one machine combination takes too much time to do both cycles and costs the earth for the drying cycle.
