Hi, we just moved to HK and are deciding where to live - we found a building we really like, Starcrest in Wan Chai - wondering if there is anyone who lives there with kids and has any advice on facilities/area...we have a 8 1/2 month old...also, we looked at DB and are really torn on where to live - any advice would be great. thanks! Melissa

Star Steer is surprisingly quiet - been there 2 years, and love it. You're close enough to Queen's Road to have the advantage of great public transport, but set back enough so you don't get any of the traffic noise. You have Bowen road behind you within walking distance (although it's quite a climb). For me, the conveniece of it all is what really does it.

Any additional feedback on StarCrest? I'm considering a 3-bedroom apartment (1,165') @ around the 30th floor and wondering what would be fair price at today's market.

StarCrest is not for kids - would you like to grow up in an elevator or surrounded by concrete? If you have kids go south-side - look around South Bay Road or even Stanley or Tai Tam. DB is ok - but yes you have to adhere to the ferry schedules or endure the bus .. HK has so much green open space - why live in a shoebox in StarCrest/Wanchai?
