Living on the Peak

I just moved to Hong Kong and recently saw an apartment on the peak that I really like (No.1 Plantation Rd). My concerns are that I hear it's really damp up there and about half the time you'll be shrouded in fog (the place is about 10 min walk from the peak tram station). Also, the place seems only about half-occupied even though the building and facilities are very nice. Are people generally less willing to live on the peak? Or is there something wrong with this particular development?

Maybe it is the rents that people are not prepared to pay up there, when they can get something as nice closer to town without the fog for less or the same money.

There is a few months of the year where there is fog (winter I think) but in summer it is one of the cooler places in HK. In Clearwater Bay there are also fog areas where the mountains rise up suddenly from the water and these houses literally drip with water on the walls if they are tiled. Humidity can be a real problem on mountains with sea close by.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually found mid-level properties to be more expensive than on the peak. This one seemed reasonable in comparison and the landlord was very willing to negotiate, which made me suspicious (maybe I'm just paranoid).
