We have just bought a property in boracay (appt villa), first time buyer. We plan to rent it out. The development compay does provides admin, rental service (all aspects related to running, leasing the place) however they do charge 50% of the rental fee which we find quite excessive. We would appreciate some input from anyone else who's bought property, advise, recommendations, furnishing flat etc. Thank you.

May I know your reason for buying the property? Investment or leisure. I too bought a property in Cavite for commercial purpose hopefully to be rented out. Are you not afraid that your property will be trespassed or rented out to others for short time without your knowledge? Any reputable property agent in the Phil you can recommend to sell my property in cavite? Thanks.

Thanks for your replies. The property is for investment. The company takes care of mostly everything and leasing it. It's actually the development company that provides this service at 50% of the rental fee. Of course with a reputable agent chances are it's in good hands. Anyone else out there with recommendations or experience much appreciated. We however have to furnish it. Any suggestions? I'm assuming there's not many furniture shops in Boracay!

Hi there
Just to change the subject...we are looking for rental accommodation in Boracay in October for 10 days - are you interested in renting out? Can you send me some details on the property?
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for your email enquiry. The property is still undergoing development so it won't be ready till end of year. Hope you find a great place. Cheers.

How/when did the who-actually-owns-the-land on Boracay dispute get resolved? From the above I'm presuming the government has backed down and investors and developers can keep the land they've bought.
