I plan to relocate my cat from Canada to Hong Kong.

Is it difficult to find a flat on HK island where cats are allowed?

Anyone had good/bad experiences with landlords intolerant of cats?

Many thanks in advance!!

Some landlords don't allow any pets, even cats. However I wouldn't say it's difficult to find somewhere where they are allowed - it's OK in most places. What you need to do is tell the property agent you use that you have a cat. Also, if you get to meet the landlord, make sure you tell him/her. And have a clause inserted in the tenancy agreement stipulating that you are allowed to keep a cat on the premises. This is probably overkill but I have heard stories of people who were assured they could keep an animal, only to find out when they moved in that the landlord didn't allow it.
