What's the norm for rent negotiations, as in how much lower do i go in at when negotiating for a new lease with a new landlord on a new property?

I appreciate that rents have gone up......but an idea would be nice.

We have just negotiated a new two year lease with a new landlord. 15% lower than the asking monthly rate was agreed on and we take possession 1 week before the official start of the new lease which gives us time to vacate the old place and clean it up before handing back to the old Landlord.
