Considering living in Western Mid-Levels - thoughts?

Just curious how folks like living in the Caine Road, Bonham Road area. It seems relatively quiet, transportation is ok, and a fair # of restaurants, groceries nearby. But the flats are quite old and there is 1 new development in the area (Center Place?) Wondering if the area will hold its value in the yrs ahead or not....

Any input appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, it is so close to central district where it is the financial district in HK, just like wall street area in NY city. Therefore, it depends on the type of job living there. The demand is always there so property price there are stable and strong...Stephen TAM tel 67283892

I live just below Caine Road toward the Bonham Road end and highly recommend it - totally convenient with close proximity to shops and transport and restaurants and pretty quiet.

Also 80 Robinson Road, although the address in 80 Robinson Rd. has an entrance down below on Bonham Rd and is fairly new. Highly convenient building to the buses and minibuses on Bonham and Robinson Rd.

Thanks for the replies. Is it friendly for kids? pets? How is the air in the area - relatively ok? What about wet markets, is the closest one in Central under the escalators?

Are you talking about the area or are you talking about 80 Robinson?

The air is just like any air you will get living anywhere on the island. Cleaner air is on the southside but for the majority of us we are all breathing the same amount of polluted air. There are two wet markets near Western Mid-Levels. The more west you go the closer the Sai Ying Pun market is to you otherwise there is also the Central wet market.

I'm not sure what your definition of kid/pet friendly is but in general it's city living. By all means you don't have kids out and about like you would in a neighborhood. But there are a a few parks in the area (one on the corner of Bonham and Seymour and many sidewalk for you to walk your dog.
