My lover and I have been together for many years and is my bestfriend as well as a partner. But now I'm no longer interested in having sex. The passion's gone. Does it mean it's over? Is it possible to restart the fire?

Try new styles of sex. If it still doesn't work, see a sex therapist for directions. Most importantly, let your lover know about your situation.

Do you still connect at an emotional level?

yes we're very close emotionally. it's not the sex act itself. it's the passion and it's come to a point where it's worrying. i just feel like we're more friends than lovers.

IMO, the sex act itself is an expression of your love and passion for each other. If you are not interested in expressing through sex, what about your partner?
Air out your issues and find out what he also feels. Is he on the same plane as you are? It's difficult to assume that the relationship is over just because the sexual aspect is at a low point.
To answer your question, yes it is possible to reignite the fire if BOTH of you want to, and BOTH are willing to do something about it. But first find out the cause..
