I am wonder in a relationship, especially a mix relationship, could the diet be a problem? Like maybe one side always like western and the other only likes chinese food? How do people solve this problem? Thanks!

I've been married for 15 years and yes it's a mix relationship. I think over the years we both have adapted to the other's cuisine but it does get very difficult at times. My only suggestion is live and let live, and compromise. In our family we have nights when we all prepare our own food - I have a packet of noodles and make a toasted chicken sandwish for my daughter while my husband makes salami and cheese sandwich for himself and my son.
We are having some problems with our relationship now but food isn't the cause :) and I still believe if the two people are compatible and with enough love and understanding, everything can be worked out :) Good luck!!

personally, i find general classifications more of an issue..
e.g. i could never date someone who can't enjoy a good steak..

I'm in a mixed marriage and it's no problem. Whoever cooks decides what we eat!

My bf told me after having Chinese food at 6, he has to eat another pizza at 10!

It is the dinner time AND food problem I guess.

ovo - you are sooo cute. To me, all those things you mentioned can be overlooked if I fell in love with the person. That said, however, I do conceed that people's attitude towards food is sometimes an indication of their open mindedness; and living with someone who's very different, and who refuses to compromise, for long periods of time will eventually lead one to seek the company of others who have similar tastes.
