Why would a married man still want friendship with someone he once had an affair with? He cannot give her what she wants, which is a relationship, and has said as much, but he continues with the friendship. Any idea what's going on?

My personal opinion about this that you know exactly what this married man want from you. Just move on and never look back, no matter how good memory you both have in the past... it's history. It's wasting your time to have the friendship again with this married man. I know what you dealing with but live your life to the fullest, don't waste it for someone who looking for friendship to gain his own happiness... thats not friendship all about.. *_* Cheers and be happy!

He might not want a relationship, but if he keeps her as a "friend", he might still be able to get into her pants. He's not thinking about what he can or cannot give to the woman or what she wants, he's only thinking of himself. Why do you think he had the affair in the first place?
