well think clear for once might be a good approach: i.e. what is his expectation and what is your expectation from marriage. do they match, or can you bridge the gap. if not, leave him.

and respect yourself a bit more and dont go back

It's funny that I heard "im from HK but im difference" everywhere... (sorry, no offense if I might sounds rude). Be confident lady!

You never cheated - good! I don't see the point cheating too. But I guess some people who don't care about other's feeling and love excitement would cheat.

I myself raise in HK, just I'm half Chinese (my dad is from China) and most of my friends are not Chinese. So it make me a 100% local. But then, I think there's nothing wrong with a Hong Kong lady who is very Chinese or very Hong Kong ...

Men from anywhere can cheat. In HK, I know a lot of local guy married to a HK wife and having 2 more (girl friend or wife, or just "lover") in China, and foreign men are spoiled when the girls are jumping up on them - but this is only if you want to look at the whole thing negatively.

It's depends on chance, luck and timing :-) good luck!

hklady : First of all, I would like to say this is my last reply for you - I can see it will go endless, as you are suddenly being very defensive and angry. (ok you will probably says you are not angry, but just don't kill your brain cell for someone on internet that you don't even know.)

Secondly, I think people really have some problem on how to value a woman even to these day, if she married, having a bf then she is defo better than a single woman, and a single woman in her late 20s or older for sure is kind of f**k up - and when a person is annoyed or angry, no matter this is a he or a she, they would goes "no wondered why you are still single" - and this statement could even be a line to attack or make the person who say this feel victory. This is just sad. As for the "everyone says I am smart sexy and fun" comments ... well come on people say that to me too but doesn't means I have to tell the whole world that was being said and use it when I have to "proof" how a hot babe myself is.

Btw, 100% local and 100% Chinese is not the same ... for friend's race, it was just to refer that even I don't mix with a lot of local friend that still make me local as born and raise here = local. My Caucasian friend who born and raise here says he is local so I don't see why I am not.... Anyways, thank you for the wishes. ciao

Poor Stubby sounds very emotional. It's difficult to look at a situation when you feel so emotional about it.

Perhaps, imagine your friend has approached you with this problem, what would you tell her? It's time to take your own advice.

To ODS and bhklady, as Hong Kong is now part of China, you are Chinese. Sorry to break this to you. It's just a small English lesson for ya, I don't normally work for free but there you go. Nationality isn't always linked to ethnicity, for example, a black person from America, however, ethnicity and nationality in China are linked. So, a Chinese person from China or Hong Kong is 100% Chinese ... You could differentiate by saying China Chinese or Hong Kong Chinese, that would say where you're from. Or Taiwanese Chinese, or Malaysian Chinese. Or American Chinese.

Hope that helps!

PupMonkey > yes you are right, but I would like to say this concept is not being use in Asia yet - why would I say that - for example, I said my Caucasian friend who born and raise in HK, no one would call him or say that he is Chinese. He have to explain that his parents are from Europe but he born and raise here. He don't speak the language as he growth up with the crowd that speak no Chinese.

And another example, another friend of mine is half Scottish and half Filippino. She born and raise in HK, she speak perfect Cantonese, while her mother tongue is English still. She call herself a local but she would not say she is Chinese. In the States or Europe, people will say whoever you are from you are from that country, it's that easy. And since people are travelling around and living in different cities, if the world is not end in 1000 years, there will be all mix over the world, and I think until that time, everywhere in the world people would use the European / American standard, that when you come from a Japanese city, even you are 0% Japanese ethnic, you will be Japanese.

I am mixed blood as well - but then so what? This is not necessary making me hotter smarter and I am not going to milk it. I think how a person think, act and what he/she say is more important then his/her nationality anyways.

Sorry thread starter, totally off topic here.

Just saying, my fiancé is Chinese by ethnicity but Canadian by nationality. He not mixed race. Our children will be though. They'll probably say they are British by nationality and mixed race by ethnicity.

If you think there is a connection between race or nationality and cheating then you are obviously a very sad person. Humans are humans. Plenty of guys cheat when a better looking girl comes their way, and plenty of girls cheat with a more powerful or rich guy. That's life, sometimes stuff happens that you don't like - you can either get over it or you can live in misery.
