It might sounds strange but after I broke up with my ex, I found I prefer to be with foreigner instead of Chinese even I'm a HongKong Chinese. I would like to know how to meet more foreigner to have a normal dating? There won't be non-Chinese speed dating in Hong Kong, right? Any good suggestion place to go or things to do? Many thanks~

Mardy, I don't think there's ONE place for real date. You can meet your date anywhere but whether he is serious or not, it's completely up to your luck. You need to have those sharp eyes to spot the fruit cakes! Good luck.

I don't agree with you Woz's Pup. The world is becoming very small. Geography is no longer a barrier for romance. A couple can choose to live anywhere nowadays.

Just to give you an example: my daughter has got three best friends at school. One has German dad and Chilean mum; one has Japanese dad and Taiwanese dad and another Indonesian mum and Australian dad. The world is becoming very international indeed!

Intersting. My employer applied for HK work permit for me and it only took 2 weeks after all docs are ready. If your bf is going to join you in UK, he can always enter the country as a visitor first then apply for other permit.

I am a New Zealand passport holder. So far I haven't had any problem working or living anywhere. Based on this, am saying that if I fall in love with anyone, we can move to anywhere to live as we wish.

My partner is English but we are thinking of retiring to Thailand!

I'll be very careful with LKF though. Most guys hanging there are not for serious relationships. Have fun if you are going there but don't hold too high expectations. Read some of the threads first to be prepared for problems you might face if start to date an xpat in HK
