What if I want to make a move?

Dear all,

I've been complaining about difficulty of finding a bf back in the women only page.... now seems that i found a target to act upon. *lucky*

All i know is that we work in the same department, but we sit soooo far apart that we hardly bump into each other even once a day. He's never been in a relationship before (or so he claims, i believe him coz he look a lil dumb in that aspect)

He's sort of an introvert, but talented in some ways, according to the limited occasion i've been with him (together with a bunch of friends/colleagues). i think he thinks of me as a girl who's a little too open-minded for him.

question is: i want to make a move, but a subtle one....i dont want to scare him off nor let everybody in the workplace know that i'm making a move on him.

Please help. Thanks a lot!

I wouldn't go there if I were - work and relationships are best kept totally separate. And besides do you really want to go out with someone who's never had a relationship before? Why not? what's wrong with him?

bumpydog->his not-having a relationship before isn't a big issue for me. His thinking about me being too open-minded is. But you're right, one shouldn't get involved with a colleague....:(

send a email and ask him for a lunch. you guys still young and it should be ok.

I dunno any other ways cos everything is seems so convenient it is difficult to be subtle. The quicker you know the result is better.

Not in my policy to go for workmates but the fact is that half the people met their hubby/wife at work (at least in my country).

Not having a relationship's not an issue either. This guy may be very demanding. Up to you to discover if you can fulfil his requirements.

As Lulu said, ask him out for lunch first. No other colleagues.

oh JC, i know (coz Nemesis is right!)...but well, i dont intend to overdo it. i'm more like a conservative person, i'm giving him a hint, and he doesn't make a move, oh well, i'll just leave it.

Afterall, there's always some other ways to meet people, out there, arent there? :D

Work is the perfect place to snare a partner. Don't listen to them, it's not like you will be at the same job forever.

A good partner is more important than a job.
