A WOMAN marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A MAN marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does.
Are these thoughts true for all????
NB: I saw this elsewhere and thought it's something for us to share... no ulterior motive intended, so don't fire me .. (boy, I'm afraid of comments from some of us .. haha..:D).

Point 1. To certain extent, some women would like to change a man from the beginning of the relationship. If they fail to, they would hope that he would change after marriage because some funny belief that men will change after marriage. That is because with the added responsibilities of a family.
Point 2: Increasingly, it does not hold because women are more independent and so they still carry on their life as before marriage.

I haven't said people don't change, F'gasted. These are just thoughts that, I think, are worth looking into. That's all.
But, yeah, where come from the cheating hubbys (and the wifys)? That is a good question.

Neither men or women change who they are, just what they do. It jsut that women tend to get more "power" after they get married and their real self come out. A independent woman does not change after they get hitched.

People DO change, but only if they WANT to.

People most deifinatley change.
Some even completely re-invent themselves.
Perhaps it is more of an evolution. A decission to express some parts of our personality we sppressed before, and teh suppression of other sides, that we expressed before.
Easiest EG. Some stop being miserable, and let the sunshine out. Some become miserabel and keep the sunshine in.
This can be choice, proactive; or reaction to things.

L'sita >> The 'thought/premise' is with reference to marriage, people involved (in the marriage) and change. This is how I see in the 'thought':
Women have a wish that a husband will CHANGE for the better (in the appropriate department; i.e., to be a good husband, father, lover, etc.).
Unlike women, men NO CHANGE desire is with reference to the physical being. That is, men wish that a wife maintains the youthful and sexy stature that attracted them.
These emphasize the notion that men are 'set on fire' by what they SEE (but, with women, by what they HEAR).

Not all true
Some men remains as attractive after marriage
Some men change and became kinda ugly (tummy,bald..etc)
Some men maintained that bad habits (womanizing, gambling...etc)
Some men only change mind concept about woman.
Some women change shape especially after birth,
turn yellow too with the extra housework and turn naggy due to motherhood.
Some women remain as sexy.
As for lady in singapore, they change to hook a long-term relationship and they change back after probation period from a cert. signed
