Anyone with experience on being married (small registry ceremony) in Singapore or Malaysia... care to share your advice and experiences?

Can't say about your two locations but in Hong Kong it's simple there is a government department called the marriage ceremony where the two of you go together with your identification documents and complete the registration formality which is often followed by the religious ceremony depending upon your religion. Getting married is a very good thing as it is most honorable name a couple can give to their relationship + the best part is the joining of two families. All the best. Take care and God bless
