My new bf is so cute, but he doesn't like to take a shower & brush teeth before going to sleep. I don't feel comfortable with this...and I don't want to push him to do this every night, any advises?

Obviously it bothers you, but why? If you are just going to sleep then it shouldnt matter..if there is more than that then tell him. He is likely totally unaware that it bothers you. Either that or you stop showering and brushing your teeth and you two can be dirrty together!

Hi, thanks for you guys's advices.

no, I don't shout to my bf.

yes, he likes to join me having shower together, but the shower room is too small, it was still interesting at the 1st and 2nd times. i prefer to have shower alone.

he knows that it bothers me, just he thinks that it really doesn't a matter.

a question to hongkonglady, are you in fact a guy?

(sorry I don't mean to be offense, just curious) how can you stand for the smelly bodies and oily skins sticking together? sorry it is not for me!

anyway, if I get everything ready for him, he do both more often than before. though he would pretend too tired not to do both sometime.

No, I am not a guy... and I have not at all referred to my personal preferences. I was just joking. The point was, would it bother him if you stopped showering and brushing your teeth before bed?

no, it wouldn't, he doesn't care it at all.

even though it would, just I can't stand for myself being dirty & smelly.

I agree with car lover..tell him and if hes not willing to change, you need to decide if you can live with it, or without him!

Make it funny and exaggerate! Tell him, with a big smile and a wink of your eye, "If you want anything tonight, you'd better shower and brush, because quite frankly, you stink!"

ask him to join you whe you are taking a shower. it's fun and you get a clean man as well.

thanks you guys again.

to poor man/mid-level, thanks, i believe both ways do work, but do not work every time. yes, if he wants more than a sleep, he would do both..

i'm not complaining, i'm just wondering that are there some ppl have the similar experience and who can give me some better advices. Coz not only the current bf, my ex also has the same bad habit. (do you men dislike shower and brush before bed?) but anyway, I don't think this is a reason enough to break someone up, right?

Actually he is getting a bit change on it, just I always need to take care of him on these matter at night. but i've found myself like his mum more than his lover, sometime.

Is he new in Hong Kong? In the US, I used to take a shower every morning. Now, in Hong Kong, the humidity makes me feel terrible, and I've changed to shower at night instead. Maybe give him some time to adapt to the climate.

he is in HK more than 2 yrs,(he is from Europe.) he takes the shower and brush every morning. he thinks that it is enough for a day...but after 14

hours, why not to be fresh again by taking the shower at night, clean body and nicer smell!

Two showers a day: bad for the skin, wipes off all its natural protection.

Brushing teeth on the other hand......

I told my previous and current boyfriends at the first time we slept together that they have to be totally clean to get on my bed.so is kind of no choice for them.So next time you should say it before you sleep together!
