Does He Dig Me, Or Just Biding Time?

Sex makes girls go nuts.

Does it matter if he digs you? You're having fun, he's having fun. If he doesn't dig you, you're moving out the country anyway so if he does dig you then you're a heart breaker. If he doesn't dig you, then you're having fun, it's no big deal.

Sex seems to change everything for some girls.

Blood Diamond. This guy is definitely not in love with you; otherwise, he'll give you priorities. So, leave him alone and move on with your life.

BD, it's your mind playing games with you...you know you're leaving, you know there's no "long term" thing here, therefore, you want him more! You always want what you can't have............

I agree with marieantoinette - You always want what you can't have...

But hey, like you said, time will tell. I've been in this situation before and time told that it was doomed. If that's the case for you too, then you have it a lot easier since you're leaving town soon! So I see no harm in scoping it out. Who knows? There might really be something there.

To be fair though, with the trip thing, I wouldn't expect him to cancel his trips for me. He probably planned these months ago! I would never cancel a trip for someone I newly met. One who's leaving soon too nonetheless.

Btw, do you feel strongly about blood diamonds? Is that why you chose that nickname?

You ARE leaving, right? And you know it's to a different country.

So maybe that's why he is prioritising his friends over you.

Perhaps someday if you both have the opportunity to be together again as a couple with long term commitment, he may prioritise you. But to ask him to do it now, that would be really hard for him, I think, no?

I thought you just liked Leonardo DiCaprio..

Sometimes my boyfriend doesn't introduce me to people he bumps into in the street. It really annoys me and I find it very rude. It's a sign of carelessness and disregard!

But then, BD, you have to think about this as well:-

You've only just met him 5 times since Feb. Would it be worth giving up a permanent residency in whichever country you are going to for someone you hardly know? Plus by stating you have received acceptance as a PR in another country does imply that you will be moving whether or not you've directly said, "Hey I'm moving" or not. He knows it's just a matter of time and there's always "the deadline" on when you need to move, right?

You must have thought about it thoroughly when you applied to move... as would anyone planning on doing so.... so your friend is right that if the situation was reversed, he would probably not think about "staying behind". Especially with someone he's only met 5 times.

I feel for you though... because you are probably asking yourself, "Hey, what if he IS the one and I've given up that opportunity?"

It's all bad-timing... but maybe it's also a sign that it's not meant to be (or, for argumen'ts sake, a sign that really tests your relationship).

Personally I wouldn't get my hopes up. Long distance is already hard for a couple who's known each other for years, let along one that has only just begun......

I agree that it's annoying when you are not introduced, but maybe it's still too early to say anything to his friends.

He could just say , "oh this is xyz" xyz "this is so and so". This is of course if you have been standing more than a few seconds. Lots of us just pass by and don't introduce. If you are standing there a while you MUST be introduced.

Why not just offer your hand or name?

BD, if he is crazy abt you, he will want to have sex or at least spend every waking hour with you in the first few weeks when estrogen and testosterone are on the high.

sam 123, I tend to agree. In the beginning you almost feel sick to be apart. Maybe he very interested though but having financial worries or something.

Of course it could be that he just does not feel the same way.
