Okay lets look at the situation for men, Just for the sake of argument, I can’t think why they would do so but let’s say they brush aside all the Chinese, Japanese. Korean, Thai, Filipino and other Asian prospects (just for you, fennel) and insist on a Western girlfriend. Cos they enjoy the sophisticated dialogue and "being challenged" and whatnot. Okay of the 50,000, 20,000 are adult female. Lets disqualify 5000 on the basis of age – so 15000. Probaby a bit more than half are currently married – so 7000 left. But not nevessarily a bar to a relationship with a surprising number of guys so the figure of eligible women goes up to 9000. Now most guys would say two out of three women, or oven more, look okay, so lets say 6000. Of those probably 20 percent are mad as a snake and are to be avoided – okay, 4000. But some of the dippy ones look pretty good so let’s increase it to 5,000. I suppose a couple of hundred are alcoholic, workaholic, watch too much Oprah, think their %$#$# doesn’t stink, so that leaves say 4700. Who gives a damn about sense of humour and stuff like that. Minus the three going out with the eligible guys and we “white dregs” are left with 4697!!! And fennel

well , budhists would suggest dropping dreams and standards cos its all nonsense. Stop with the shopping mentality and free your mind. Nice one flashback ... Quality of life for me does mean being in a situation where I am not dragged through messy emotional rubbish by out-of-control people ... are you sure you're not a man? Cos I and every other bloke I know have lost count of the number of times we've had to put up with messy emotional rubbish for the sake of a shag or three
