Ed,can you please keep people better informed as to what's going on with this website?

The Speaker's Corner is gone,Relationships looks like next on the hitlist and you pointed out that this site will focus on Q & A type formats.

You say it will be "bigger and better" than before so fill us in we're all waiting with baited breath and posting quetions about deleted forums just results in deletions....

Already explained this - the speakers is gone because it does not follow the format of 'Advice Forums' Also I had envisioned high level discussion and debate on that forum - it was mostly rambling chatter... So its gone.


We have no plans to remove or add any forums - relationships will stay but if attempts are made to start a chat room on that forum then we will suspend accounts.


We made a decision to be different with our forums in the past year or so - and the direction of the forums is clearly outlined in the rules. We do not want to run chat rooms here - we want these forums to be known as the place to get answers and advice - and allowing endless pointless chat destroys the message and the purpose of the forums.


Obviously some people don't agree with this however this is the decision that I have made and I feel that it is the right decision and that it makes our site more useful. As well, it's easier to make objective decisions when editing because its basically Q&A.


Our programmer will have the new HK site finished next week - then we need to roll out that template across all the other cities - we are targeting a launch around July 10.

How about your software guy making threads die after they have been up for one year?


At least the threads will be more cureent.
