Hi friends
working from morning to late evening,dinner,watching tv, latenight sleep,again same routine works starts from the morning woofff stressful days...weeks... months...anyone out there with same stressful life?? help me out to make my mind relax...........

I find the heat and humidity the most stressful thing for me. It just beats me up and I seldom feel clean or vibrant if I have to go in and out of the office all day.

Can't say that i've been stressful in the 4 yrs of working here in HK. Agreed with banmenot abt the heat n humidity though...it's unbearable. Gotta go have some relaxing moments on weekends when ur feeling stressful. Cheers!

I can certainly relate to the topic - it sounds like much of my lifestyle really.
I don't do it to impress the boss, it is merely due to having a senior position here and the extreme difficulty in recruiting decent local staff.
Now I deal with it by ensuring I do something many times a week besides work - I just squeeze outings in with friends etc. I used to think I didnt have time, but I can make it by rearranging and squeezing in a few hours at the beach on weekends, dinners out, scenic drives etc.
At the moment my workload is the highest I've had in my life and by rights I shouldbe stressed out completely, but social life is now keepng me sane.
Try doing something you used to do...or something a bit like it, if you dont have time for a dog offer to take your neighbours dog out for a walk every so often, that is fun! Or go more places with your gf/bf or if you don't have one then place an advertisement on the personals section of this website and go get yourself one!

I think many of us can relate to the "stress" created by a routine and demanding career. I put "stress" in quotation marks because we have to remember that it is us who creates or allows the stress. Once we recognize that, we tend to work harder at finding creative ways to get rid of it. Start by trying to remove some of the monotony from your daily routine. Do something different in the morning or evening. Also, unless you are paid by the hour, we have to remember that "quantity" of time does not always mean a higher "quality" of work, or productivity. Take control of your work/life balance.

You have to find a way out. Why let yourself get stuck in such a rut. Remember, you only live once and the life you have is precious and short. You should cherish every minute and do what you enjoy doing. No one needs to live such stressful lives. Honestly there are always other options. Take a step back and see what works for you.

JC is right. And there's also to build a gym into your daily routine. Exercise is the best stress buster and also gives you stamina to cope with the rest.
