Following with my last post, 11 years , it is so hard to cope.... living in Toronto, My BF left me after 11.5 yrs, met him when I was 27. now 39. Been a mess but getting better. NOW my main problem is should i move back to HK or stay in Toronto. My mom and sister is in HK, whom I am EXTREMELY closed to, But I have to start all over again, and am so scare.. Then at the same time, I feel I have nothing here in Toronto either. when he left me few month ago, I really felt like i lost everything, well up to now, unfortunately, that feeling is still quite strong. I did managed to regain MYSELF, beginning to see life again, but sometimes it still feels like I am drifting one day to another other. I guess most of you guys moved to HK as a family, do u think it is harder to make this move, big step alone??
I am 39 now, feeling a bit lonely, and really feel like I would never find love again. My Dog Charlie has been a great friend and I do have few very goes that has been there for me from dayone, so leaving them is hard too. This is such a hard decision, should i even think about moving now?? should i just stay in toronto for a bit, til I am actually MOVED ON?? I do go to HK twice a month as am a Flight crew, every time i am in HK just do not want to leave. it is so full of life, happiness? not sure about that, it is cold, wet, snowing here and so depressing......

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your situation. I wouldn't rush into anything. I think that there appear to pro's and con's to each of those options. But the one that I think you may not have considered too much right now is you job. Could you transfer with your airline to HK? Is there a job here for you? This is something you need to sort out because in this economic climate if you make a rash decision to leave your job, then you are unlikely to be able to think after being in HK you made the wrong decision and go back to toronto and get your old job back.
HK is a fantastic place to be single in! So busy and so exciting and so many new people to meet all the time. I think you'll be fine if you move here socially, but totally understand its a scary prospect right now for you.
Just see if you can get a job and if you can... then take a bit of time and make the decision.
The best of luck!
