Hi there, am just curious...when you are sick, what your busband or boyfriend will normally do to show their care about you?

Of course if they really love you they will not bother you so you can finish the housework in peace.

Mine normally spends all his free time cooking but does abandon his hobby on the rare occasions I am sick because the smells make me queasy and I don't want to eat anyway. He also says, "Feeling better?" very frequently.

Reading the other responses, I am clearly a cherished and lucky woman.

as the guy...well i suppose, id see to it that she is taken cared off properly by bringing her to the doctor if the situation warrants or bringing the doctor to her. 2. buy her meds and administer them if she cannot do it herself. 3. let her have a good rest by doing her chores on the weekend. 4. if i cant take a leave from work, id make sure my girlfriend has nothing to worry about at her place...like cooking food. i cant cook so i'll just buy us some good take-outs. 5. ofcourse, id stay with her. i'll just take precautions not to get sick as well. 6. watch her sleep. 7. take her temperature readings even after midnight. 8. to make her feel loved and cared for.

note: i just suppose... since i cant do these to my current GF....my office work.

Wow...executor, I'm close to be jealous about your girlfriend like hell before I read till the end of your post. ;-)

My husband has once come up with an idea to go back to work the next day when I had a fever...think about he was still on his annual leave the next day. Although at the end he didn't go for work - of course coz I complained - but the his idea still shows he doesn't care too much and it's kinda hurtful...

It wasn't done with humour, he makes sure I have drinks but thats about it, although of course he will look after the kids and make their dinner. But to be honest if I'm ill enough to warrant staying in bed then I just want to be left alone to sleep etc.

my bf who's now my husband still does the same thing like what he did when we're still dating. He would prepare food for me, take me to the doctor if needed, takes my temperature every once in a while for checking and the best of all, massages me until I fall asleep! When I my fever gets really high, he would stay up all night and does cold compress until my temperature's stable, it's so relaxing.

He's not perfect but that's one of the reasons why I married him, I know he'll never leave me when I need him the most :)

Awww, I'm glad to see I'm not the only lucky woman here!

I tend to be a little stubborn when I'm unwell, which generally leads to me over-doing things and making myself feel even worse. For that reason, my husband steps in when I'm unwell and 'bans' me from all chores/cooking.

When seriously unwell, my husband is nothing short of the perfect nurse, ensuring I'm hydrated, cold compressed and comfortable.

I recently 'lent out' hubbie's skills on a flight from KL to HK - a poor woman collapsed with fever and the flight crew were hopeless. Hubby sat by the woman for the entire flight, applying cold compresses, swaddling her with blankets when she had the chills, patting her hair, feeding her ice and making sure she reached a doctor when we landed. I have never been more proud, knowing that my husband would treat even a complete stranger with such kindness.

Having said that, when I am well, I ensure my husband never wants for anything! Kindness works both ways.
